Sony Yuga
Much like the story of Nexus 4, Sony Yuga has been previewed ahead of the launch. In the case of Sony Yuga, a Russian website Mobile-Review was able to get its hands on a prototype. They have previewed the device and looks like the Sony Yuga is going to be one of the top flagship phones of the next year.
The phone has been with the Mobile-Review team for more than a month, so the original device may differ from the image below when it launches.

Sony Yuga – Design
The Sony Yuga is designed to be different from the other Xperias in the lineup. It has neat sharp corners, it is slim and feels very compact. The build quality is absolutely brilliant and the type of the materials used in the Yuga definitely give it a premium feel. The 1080p Full HD display is the first thing that anyone is likely to notice about the phone. The display combined with Sony’s Bravia engine just makes the viewing experience perfect. The viewing angles however are not up to the mark and reflections are a problem as usual. But this is just a prototype and the display related issues could be addressed in the original product. Running some famous benchmarks like AnTutu(20000+ score) clearly puts the Sony Yuga at the top of the performing devices list and that is mainly due to the quad-core Krait. The Sony Yuga prototype had been experiencing a lot of heating issue and this has clearly affected the performance. The Yuga, when launched is expected to be free of heating problems.
Sony Yuga – Pricing and Availability
While we got a lot of information before the official launch, the main factor “price” could not really be guessed. It is what Sony decides when it launches the device. So we will have to wait for that. Sony is expected to make the announcement at CES 2013 and the Sony Yuga is expected to be available by the end of January.
